ISO9001:2000 & ISO14001CON-FORM recognises that the disciplines of Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental Management are a vital and integral part of its daily business. The Company's management view these as one of its primary responsibilities and essential to providing quality products in a safe and efficient manner, whilst recognising the importance of protecting the environment for all our future. CON-FORM has achieved certification for both ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 and dedicates appropriate resources to ensure these well-respected and internationally recognised standards are applied and maintained. Our company policy calls for continuous improvement in its quality and environmental management activities and our construction methods and designs deliver sustainable environmental solutions, in accordance with Government guidelines and best practice. Every project we are involved with has a detailed and comprehensive Quality Plan developed prior to job commencement, to ensure the work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard. CON-FORM has a major advantage with regard to helping the environment. The nature of our business is to minimise the wastage of earth's natural resources. CON-FORM has treated over 4 million tonnes of "contaminated" or geotechnically unsuitable soils that in their original state were deemed not fit for the works proposed. Using the many processes available to us in the CON-FORM portfolio, some of which we have pioneered in house, we have been able to modify the properties of these soils, eliminating the need to excavate and transport them off-site or to landfill. Of equal importance is the elimination of the need to replace these materials with a similar volume of clean soil or virgin aggregates. The cumulative impact of these actions has resulted in a saving of 2 million lorry movements. The benefits to the environment include a reduction in fuel, vehicle emissions, traffic congestion, utilisation of landfill resources, requirement for virgin aggregates and disruption to the local communities. |
